Cumin Tea

Cumin Tea

Cumin can be an aid for insomnia.

Filtered Water in the Tea Pot

3 TBSP Cumin Seeds
3 to 5 Star Anise to taste
Ginger Root to taste

Bring the water with all the ingredients to a rolling boil for a few minutes.  Reduce heat and let the sit on a minimum heat until all ingredients sink about 15 minutes.  Pour yourself a tea and enjoy.

I drink cumin tea hot or cold.

I will refill the pot once or twice and heat it up again, the same as I used a tea bag.

I like the spiciness of the ginger so I add a fair bit of the Ginger & the Liquorice flavour of Star Anise.

After I made the tea a few times I start to create different teas that appeal to my taste.  The Sky is the Limit.  Not to mention the potential health benefits to making my own tea blend, see links below to start.

It is amazing how easy it is to really make healthy choices. I know that there are additives or preservatives in my tea.  love not buying prepackaged products :-)

I have since learned how to make the cumin tea make many varieties of the Cumin Tea using seeds, herbs & dehydrated fruits. Dehydrated Blueberries added to or alone make a great Tea.

I started making cumin tea because it was brought to my attention that it could help with insomnia.
